Samuel Vanneste (In thread: Prepare the application's BAT files for Apache Cordova)

Hello David,
I would like to go with Stef's information : in some conditions (I have not already found the ones), I experienced the same behavior. The steps to reproduce is : create a new app, check the checkboxes, add some Views and code, save. Build -> no .bat is generated

Close the app and reopen it. Go to the settings and press "Apply". Build -> the bats are generated. After that, they are always generated.

PS: what is missing on this forum's engine is a +1 (or like) button ;)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: Animate an object with "animate class" from "a" to "b" position)

Hello Eduardo,
Perhaps could that example provide some idea ? http://www.w3schools.com/css/tryit.asp?filename=trycss3_animation_delay
and the related CSS tutorial http://www.w3schools.com/css/css3_animations.asp

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: How to scale the captured image with an WebCam control)

Hello David,
YES! It is working very well now. Thanks a lot for that great improvement :D

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: How to scale the captured image with an WebCam control)

Thanks a lot David, this makes sense. I am so used with other controls where the preview image provides the resulted one that I did not thought of this :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: How to scale the captured image with an WebCam control)

Hello David,
I have just tried the new Webcam control with Firefox and Opera but the taken picture doesn't respect the original image's proportions.

Is it just on my part (a problem with my webcam perhaps) ?

Many thanks

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: Web application protection)

+1 for David's point of view : sessions must be managed on the server part. Even the login and password should be only sent in hash mode (so nobody, even the "man in the middle" could see the real login and the real password. This works only if the login and passwords are created from your app of course).
What you can store locally is a "some sort" token sent by the server to your app when the session is created so you could have a double check verification (for more security).
And do not hesitate to work directly with David has he suggested because David has a lot of valuable knowledge, really :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [CLOSED] Suggestion: moving App batch to Program's options)

Thanks a lot David. Quickest than the wind :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [CLOSED] Suggestion: moving App batch to Program's options)

Hello David,
No, I am sorry, I did not noticed that the paths were optional. Thanks a lot :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [CLOSED] Suggestion: moving App batch to Program's options)

Hello,
Not a request but a suggestion (because I do not probably have all the information about the choice done and impacts for other developers) : it appears strange to me that we have to set all the paths to Java Home, Ant Home and Android Home for each app we create.
Shouldn't we have to set them once in the program's options ? Perhaps those paths could be copied in the app's options when we create a new one ?

Regards,

Samuel

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: {Solved} Missing Generated *.bat Files)

Hello David,
You were right : it has fixed, I had misunderstood the things. Thanks a lot for your support :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: {Solved} Missing Generated *.bat Files)

Hello David,
My turn not being able to generate .bat files (#2016.113). Trying to uninstall and reinstall all...
Windows 10 Pro 64 bits (as you already knew)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: How to sign our APK files to be published in the Google Play Store)

Hi there,
Thanks David for the detailed steps. We must be used to zipalign because we must be used to protecting our apps (we must learn how to Proguard or our app could be opened and code clearly read)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: About Socket)

Hello David,

Thanks a lot for the detailed information provided. I will study them and report if I do find a solution. :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: About Socket)

Hello,
This is not really a support request but a question about the technology used. It will help me to understand (same question about npTalk). Perhaps is it a lack of knowledge.

I have installed a Redpin server (redpin.org) which accepts sockets connections and uses a REST Api. I was able to connect to that socket using some Android or Java apps I had written. But when I try to connect to it with App Builder or npTalk, the connection is refused (about npTalk, I have seen the same problem with nzPluginSocket so it is not the code used).

So, I wonder if the problem is me not understanding a crucial concept or only the technology used (the server is released under GPL so I have took a look at its code and seen nothing special).

Many thanks

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [SOLVED] How to test the Code Minimizer ?)

Hello David,
I do agree about the server side of course. That's the way I usually work with my mobile apps.
That's probably a lack of knowledge and I will have to learn a little more but, if I create a GUI with App Builder, I will expose the parameters names and the web services scripts url too.
Even more, when using the developers tools included in modern web browsers, all the variables become readable. I am not used to that.
But I will find a solution.
