Ade Wale (In thread: How to send latitude and longtitude to Googlemap App?)

Hi David,

Thanks for the good news.

Ade Wale (In thread: Android APP - Need Suggestion For Minimise the APK Size)

Hi,

Good to hear that there is new FileDownload on the release.
Although, I don't have latest version license at the moment to test it.
However, I will say well done David. Happy new year.

@Ianka: I will suggest that you should compress the pdf with this tool FILEminimizer by balesio. Maybe it might help. If not then David's idea is the best.

@EGovMetrics:

You can easily embed video (YouTube) on the form and control the link(channels) remotely(webserver).

Ade Wale (In thread: Domo Electra: another App Builder's use case)

Hi David,

I read about the Domo Electra project with AB when you sent it by email. I was really happy for you and I know this is just the beginning of the AB application. Without doubt in my mind, AB application will still be more popular.

I have already told most my school mate about AB application and they were amazed too.

Thank you David and keep it up.

Ade Wale (In thread: Emplea2: another App Builder's use case)

Alright, well done once again. I have been waiting for this kind of good news.

Actually, I have been saying that App Builder is powerful than what people might think.

Ade Wale (In thread: Emplea2: another App Builder's use case)

Wow! Amazing sample demo. Is it available for test?

Ade Wale (In thread: Need Advice : logout when timeout)

Hi David,
Hope you get well soon.

My question is, will idlestart and end work if username (login) details are stored on the database server and want user re-login when time is go out after re-open app when time is exceed.Like we use session in php.

Ade Wale (In thread: Need Advice : logout when timeout)

Hi David,
Hope you are feeling fine now.
Idlestart and End is good idea. What about if the username and password credentials are going to be from external database?

Ade Wale (In thread: Need Advice : logout when timeout)

I feel like this is a more easy approach. I'm not sure if this is the best way but here goes. What you can do is:

Set a PHP Session ($_SESSION['timeout']) to current time (time()) when the user logged in.
Wrote the following function to validate whether the user is active.

// This function is adding 900 seconds (15 Minutes, which is the amount of time you want the user to // be inactive to automatically logout) to the previously registered time when the user was last active. // Then, its checking whether the current time is greater than the amount of time you want the user to // stay logged in without timing out (which is 15 minutes). If it's greater, then you are redirected to the // login page where you can initiate a logout function with http://www.yourwebpage/login.php?status=timeout on the URL.

Hi David,

Thanks for the information.

Ade Wale (In thread: Smart TV development for LG with webOS)
Hello to all,

I mean You can use AB for creating android TV apps but for LG WebOS you need to use their SDK and the IDE, JSON knowledge is required and java. etc.

The point is not if WebOS requires an specific IDE. When we develop apps for iOS, we compile our AB applications using Apache Cordova, and, what Cordova produces is an XCode (the IDE of MacOS) project, ready to be open with XCode if we wanted.

I think this case is more or less similar. AB produces an HTML5 application and the appropiate Cordova stuff, and, the project linked in the first post. take that application and convert it to a project for the WebOS platform IDE, ready to deploy the final app.

Hi David,

I see. It make sense.
Thanks for clearing the doubt.

@David,

The LG WebOS SDK, IDE and Instruction can be found here

http://webostv.developer.lge.com/sdk/download/download-sdk/

@EGovMetrics

The knowledge of AB will help you to some existent but you can not use AB because LG WebOS have his own IDE and and language structure.

However, you can use AB for creating android TV apps. eg. Android boxes which is now common is towns.

I will discuss this with David if he is not aware of it already.

Ade Wale (In thread: How to sign our APK files to be published in the Google Play Store)

Hi David,
Thanks for the information. I will stick to the old method. Because if I want to update my apk file on apps store I need the store key file.

Thanks

Ade Wale (In thread: IOS Apps, how to get them on the devices)
Hello to all,

I can't wait see to that. I will wait little bit for it before finishing up on the video tutorials I am making on AB.

I use the AB generated shell scripts in Mac OS almost everyday and right now (they need some adjustments in the past AB releases) works like a charm. In fact the "iOS" BAT for Windows is maintained, but certainly we can now build the entire project in Mac OS directly with this AB generated shell scripts. :)

Hi Dave,

Can we update our AB now and how can we use the script?
