Hello David!

Do you have any experience with the new WKWebview and the camera cordova plugin not showing caputured images?
because since I use your new WKWebview I do get an Error when I want to display the taken, or from photolibrary, image with the camera.
Not allowed to load resource: file://path_to_the_file

Is there any config.xml prefernce setting I have to set or something else?

The problem is only on IOS

thank you for your detailed answer.

but the the config.xml gernerated by app builder adds these tags

<platform name="ios"> <preference WKWebViewOnly="true"> <preference scheme="app"> <preference hostname="localhost"> </platform>

and not the correct ones

<platform name="ios"> <preference name="WKWebViewOnly" value="true"> <preference name="scheme" value="app"> <preference name="hostname" value="localhost"> </platform>

thats the reason for the error because the configparser istn't able to find the name attribute.

the file-xhr error: I have to try it again but in the past when I was using the new WKWebView I only got a blank white page and a XMLHttp security error in the console because of loading from file://

and this was the reason I meantioned the xhr plugin because with this it worked.

When I have more info if it works I'm gonna reply here. (have to update xcode but ran out of disk space .... :-( )

I think I found it.

the problem are the new ios preference tags in the generated config.xml.

they are missing the name atrribute and also the value attribute.

Do you have any experiences with ther error Cannot read property 'toLowerCase' of undefined when executing the generated shell file on an mac device?

I have updated to the latest mac os(11.3) node(16.0.0) and cordova (10.0.0) XCode(12.4)

During executing the cordova_ios_release.sh it tells me after each plugin or even cordova-ios(6.2.0) : Cannot read property 'toLowerCase' of undefined and then it ends aflter all plugins with the error Cannot read property 'toLowerCase' of undefined and Paused...

Have you ever had that problem? I found some forum entries but these are about two years old and they say it is solved with cordova-ios 5.x but now I have 6.2.0 and do have this problem

Thank you for your tips. and sorry for any inconvinience.
this was just a guess because I have a swiper on my homescreen with buttons on each swiping element. And from time to time (more often then less) the buttons dont work anymore just get focused on click. but after swiping to the next and back the buttons do work again.
the only error I found was my described problem.
But thats not your problem maybe the swiper does something weard.

I do have a feature request for the http control element on fast user interactions.

Because fast user interactions by opening a view and going back immediately results in a global Javascript ErrorEvent.

I explain my specific problem:

In my main view I have may buttons to open other views and in some of these other views I have a http control that executes in the show event do load new data. But when the user immediately goes back to the main view before the done event have been fired the event fires on my home screen but there does this http control not exist and so it throws the error.

My solution would be to check if "self" is defined before doing the rest of the function.

Hello David!

I have a question about how to pick and or capture an image with the Input File Control.

How to ...

• only pick an image
• only capture an image
• let the user decide to pick an image or capture a new image

I have set the Accept value to image/* or .jpg or .jpeg (Capture is on Environment, Multiple false) but on ios always the camera opens and on android always the file picker opens.

I hope you understand what I mean.

I have not found a sample for these usecases (or I'm blind)

what I mean is when I have placed the sidebar on the right side, with the css you provided earlier.
I am able to hide the sidebar by swiping to the left. (without code from me anywhere)
It should be swiping to the right to hide the sidebar if the siderbar is on the right side. And swiping to the left if the sidebar is on the left side.
This would be an awesome feature in the Settings to choose from. like: position of the sidebar menu: left or right (with correct swipe direction to hide)
Do you understand what I mean?

I'm currently working on a feature to caputure an image and send it to the server with other input data.
But it seems that the function app.cordova.file.getBlobFromFileUri doesn't exist anymore.

Do you have any other solution for this usecase?

Hello David,

If you can remember a month or two ago you implemented the feature "swipe left ON sidebar" to hide the sidebar.
but not swipe right would be needed.
because now when you swipe left on the sidebar on the right side it hides. This is not intuitive.

But now I have to swipe to the left to hide the sidebar.
