Here is what I have done in my attempts.
in the Style section of the view, in backgrondimage I added this code.
background-image: url('app/images/redwhite.png');
before debugging, I added the image file to the above path.
When I run the debugger it does not show any image and actually removes the image file from that folder.
I also tried the same thing from the cssinline and no result as well.
I suspect I don't have the path right in format or something.
What options do we have for the url portion, can it be a full http:;;www, etc,
or a local path like c:/images/redwhtie.png etc.
Some of the paths I have tried have locked up AB.
Do you have any samples that would show the correct configuration?
Thanks as always David
Ok thanks for that. Google did do a fairly good job of translation.
If I click on the link it does the same thing. If I paste you link into my own browser it works fine.
However I do not speak spanish so..... I will need to wait for some translation, or maybe I can use google.
Can you breifly give me a synopsis of what it is doing....Thanks
Asley
Not sure if the link is bad. It just closes the browser when I click on it.
Where is it to take me?
Relative to the whole app, if I want to use an image (either on my local pc or online) where would I put that information so that it becomes the background. I see background section of css but I am not sure what information format it is looking for?
Would would this need to be an http scr type string? Does it need to go on each view or ?
What is a BackgroundAttachment? Or just the Background property?
Should the code of these items be like what is shown in a css file?
Thanks
Or... email yourself your apk fiile open you email on your phone or tablet and then click on the attachement. Easy install.
Few more on this subect:
Are the css files from a library of css files that you used? I'm assuming you did not create them yourself. (nobody has that much time)
Is there certain criteria involved with using a public or purchased css file? Would any that claim to be a bootstrap based css file work?
Which is higher on the list for final results, the css file or inlinecss? I assume the latter.
Also it appears the Bootstrap customizer allows you to create your own css file. Is that how you created them? Can a current theme be uploaded and modified?
I guess I am editing this as I go. Sorry
I see there there are bootstrap themes available on the web. Most look like they are for websites, do they still work with the apps?
Also I did find the ones included as well. Very nice ones and would make a good link:

Thanks
Thanks David, that is what I was looking for.
I want to inquire about how to create themes or css that can set some standard styles for my apps
I know there are included and optional themes. They seem to affect the fonts and some other features. Some even change background colors.
What is the best method to edit or create themes that would allow me to customize them with different colors and even change the font colors, types etc. Also so they care not overwritten when installing a new AB revision.
I don't have a lot of css background but would like to hear what is possible and the best way to do it. Do the themes reside somewhere that they can be edited?
Any reponse is appreciated.
As I said, it does appear centered correctly in the installed app. But in the debugger view it is centered horizontal, but not vertical. I will send you an image by email.
Found this today and about says it all. I was written in 2012 but as far as I have seen not much has changed,
Think carefully before deciding on IOS for your products. It's a huge market but a pain in the patooee to deal with.

I guess this is related, but how do I allign text in a pushbutton. My text is on the bottom edge of the buttton, so I tried the paddingbottom css but it does not do anything. I'm not sure what value it would be looking for anyway. Is it pixals? 10 or 10px or ?
I'm looking for way to get my text centered in all directions in a pushbutton, regardless of what size the button.
Ok maybe this is not an issue as I notice when installed on my phone the text seems centered but not so much in the debugger view.
So....
How would I use code like this to set the style to orange
Thanks for the feedback from both ya'll.
Here is what I discovered. If you have a background color specified on any view (in my case 4th view) it will dominate the rest of the app. The text and other attributes change as required but the color gets overwritten,
What say you?
I copied an app to a new location. changed the icon, and the name of the app and Title etc. No issues there.
However when I try to change the theme from Slate to Sandstone it does not change. I have done a new build and debug but always see the old slate. Anything I am missing in this process?
As time allows....
