HTML Compiler: Need to click 2 times on exe file to get it started

Jan van den Hogen
When I compile an .EXE, the first time I doubleclick nothing happens, the second time the .EXE starts, but after closing down the EXE, there's still running a MyProject.Exe (or whatever) as a background process. Only way to close it is to start task manager and manually remove the exe from the list by terminating it. I'm using WIN10 64 bits. Does anybody have the same problem, or is it somewthing specifically when using 64 bit WIN 10?

Hello Jan,

It's possible to provide me the HTML app to try it here? Or maybe the compiled executable? You can send it to me using my E-Mail address (I supose you know it, if not, please, tell me and I will inform to you). I can't reproduce the problem here using Windows 10 64 bits too. Are you try with the samples? The problem is reproducible? Or only occur in some specific executable?

Hi David, Problem solved. Somehow there was a problem with my PHP xampp environment. I needed to install a newer xampp version and the problem with starting twice the HTMLC applications was gone. I can't imagine it has anything to do with xampp, perhaps some of the strange twists I never will understand of WIN10. Unless you need one of the ports of windows for your HTML compiler, what I can't imagine. So ... problem solved itself in the end!

Hello Jan,

It's rare... the only that I can say is that HTML Compiler don't use any port or something like that. HTML Compiler don't start any HTTP server, for example. Who knows... maybe a temporal problem causes the issue, and, then, when it's gone, the issue is gone too.

For example, if an error occur, a program can stay in the memory after close. If this occur, maybe the program behaviour changes, because can't properly start, etc. But, once the program is gone from the memory, and, if the error don't occur again, the the program come again to their expected behaviour.
